Although they managed to conquer very interesting sales figures, the latest smartphones the Galaxy Note family ended up creating great controversy. There is no doubt that the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra presented itself as one of the best smartphones today, but the base model left a lot to be desired, especially considering its price.
Now, although there is still no concrete evidence, several rumors point to the possible launch of a Fan Edition (FE) version of the Galaxy Note 20. Considering the disappointment that was the Galaxy Note 20, it is not difficult to imagine that an FE version could achieve greater success.
Judging by the great demand that the Galaxy S20 FE is having, it is possible that the same approach in the Note line, could achieve as much or more demand.
What could we expect from a Samsung Galaxy Note 20 FE
Once again, it is important to emphasize that for now, this information is nothing more than speculation, based on the strategy we saw being applied in the launch of the Galaxy S20 FE.
Therefore, Samsung could end up launching a Galaxy Note 20 FE equipped with the following specifications:
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor
- 6GB / 8GB RAM
- 128GB internal memory
- Integrated S-Pen
- Wireless charging
- AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of at least 90Hz
In the photographic segment, one would expect a photographic module similar to the one present in the Note 20, but with more modest secondary sensors.
Samsung needs to recover “loss” brought by the Galaxy Note 20
Even though it hasn’t caused a big hole in Samsung’s finances, there is no doubt that the Galaxy Note 20 failed to achieve the goals outlined by the brand.
This lack of demand was felt very early on, with Samsung reducing production levels by 25%, from 800 thousand units to 600.
Obviously, the Covid-19 pandemic ended up making the situation even worse. With the launch of high-end smartphones on the market at much more affordable prices, it became increasingly difficult to justify the investment in a smartphone that costs € 1,000 (or more).
