Note that Android Oreo has been announced for over a month and a half while Nougat has been official since August 2016 and only now comes to this Samsung device. Well, at least it comes to this popular smartphone …
Finally arrived Android Nougat for the Samsung Galaxy J5 Prime
In addition to bringing a new version of the operating system we have some new features of Android Nougat in addition to the already popular feature that allows you to have more than one account on instant messaging services, such as WhatsApp.
- Update for Android 7.0 Nougat
- New UX (Samsung Experience) Interface
- Enhanced stability and use of Multi Window mode
- Enhanced Notifications Engine
- Quick settings with more features
- Possibility to have two messaging accounts
This new version of Google's operating system will bring considerable improvements to battery life thanks to enhanced Twelve mode, as well as a better, now more intuitive notification system.
It will also bring new emoji's, various bug fixes, performance improvements and system stability, among other things for your smartphone.
To check if the update is already available for installation on your Samsung Galaxy J5 Prime go to Settings – About Device – Software Update. Alternatively you can expect the update notification available via OTA (over the air) to arrive.
You should download this news package over a Wi-Fi connection as it weighs over 1GB and it is not a good idea to require all of this from your data plan. What's more, you should charge the battery of your Samsung Galaxy J5 Prime at least 50% of charge otherwise you won't be able to download the news.
I remind you that the Android Nougat update will gradually reach all units and may take a little longer to reach some regions / countries but it is certain that during this October all Samsung Galaxy J5 Prime will be updated with this new firmware package.
