This week the Redmi K30 Pro was finally presented in China. With no expected date for the launch of its global version, the latest data suggest that it will be launched by Xiaomi’s sub-brand, Poco, in India.
Being a true top of the range, this means that there is a possibility of being called Pocophone F2 globally. The Redmi K30, launched in December in China, came to be launched as Pocophone X2 also in India. However, there is still no global version.
This information was discovered by a member of XDA Developers in the MIUI 11 camera code. And it confirms the desire for a successor in line with the Pocophone F1 launched in 2018.
As to the name of this equipment in UK is still unknown. The most natural thing would be for Xiaomi to do the same as the previous year. Launch the Redmi K30 Pro as Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro and the Redmi K30 as Xiaomi Mi 10T globally.
However, Xiaomi has already shown us in the past that at any time it changes the names of its lines at will. Bearing in mind that the Redmi K30 was presented in December and has not yet arrived in UK, the Pocophone hypothesis is not to be dismissed in our country.
Redmi K30 Pro costs 394 € in China and has the Snapdragon 865
Regardless of the name, we hope that the Redmi K30 Pro can be launched soon in the global markets. It will be one of the most interesting devices with the Snapdragon 865 considering the launch price of 394 € in China.
