Xiaomi continues on a mission to confuse its users as much as possible, betting on the constant launch of new smartphones with extremely similar specifications (and names!). The latest addition to this mix of names will be the Redmi 9 Power, which will be officially unveiled on December 17th in India.
After launching the Redmi Note 9 globally in May of this year, the manufacturer decided in late November to launch a new series in China with the name Redmi Note 9 5G, which features specifications and design totally different. Now, everything indicates that a new model “inspired” by the Redmi Note 9 4G will be launched in India, under the name Redmi 9 Power.
The confusion between the names and models of Xiaomi is already so much that, honestly, it is already difficult to be surprised. Moreover, this new Redmi 9 Power presents itself as an authentic fusion between two smartphones already launched, the POCO M3 and the Redmi Note 9 4G.
Alleged specifications of the Xiaomi Redmi 9 Power
- 6.53 “inch IPS LCD screen with Full HD + resolution and drop-shaped notch
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 processor
- 4GB of RAM
- 64GB / 128GB storage
- Four rear cameras: 48MP + 8MP (ultrawide) + 2MP (macro) + 2MP (depth)
- 8 megapixel front camera
- Side fingerprint reader
- 6,000mAh battery with support for fast charging at 18W and reverse charging
- Android 10, MIUI 12
As you can easily see through this list of specifications, the similarities between the 3 smartphones are more than many, with differences found only in their photographic modules.
To make this whole Xiaomi universe even more confusing, there are several rumors that point to the arrival of this smartphone to the various European markets, but as the name Xiaomi Redmi 9T. With so many “new” smartphones, it seems more that Xiaomi wants to guarantee the record of more smartphones launched in a year, for the next decades.
