Red Dead Redemption 2 for PC will be awesome, but won't have ray tracing

Having been confirmed by Rockstar that Red Dead Redemption 2 would actually be released for PC, it quickly became one of the most anticipated games of the year. Especially after the official 4K trailer was released that revealed amazing graphics!

This week, NVIDIA posted on its official Twitter account a few more 4K screenshots, which eventually triggered another incredible wave of rumors. In the images, in addition to the stunning graphics, we also see the "GeForce RTX" logo in the corner, leading fans to consider possible support for ray tracing technology.

Just a heads up to avoid confusion – the GeForce RTX logo here references our GeForce RTX 20 series products. Red Dead Redemption 2 does not have ray tracing.

NVIDIA confirms that Red Dead Redemption 2 will not support ray tracing

The wave of rumors about this feature has grown to such an extent that the company has felt the need to clear up all this confusion.

In response to its own publication, NVIDIA confirms that the logo in question refers to the GeForce RTX 20 graphics series and that Red Dead Redemption 2 for PC will not have ray tracing.

It is not difficult to understand the reasons that led to this wave of rumors, considering the incredible improvements that this technology is bringing to so many games. However, whenever a game has support for ray tracing, we see a logo in the corner of the image that says "RTX On".

Red Dead Redemption 2 PC

Although it doesn't come with ray tracing support, RDR 2 will come with incredible improvements in its PC version. It will feature much more advanced and complex graphics. If you have a real home gaming machine, this is one of the games you won't want to miss.

1 year after its release, Red Dead Redemption 2 will finally arrive on PC

It's been 1 year since Red Dead Redemption 2 was released on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, where it has become a real phenomenon. However, PC gamers have always been sidelined, despite the numerous rumors circulating from day one.

Now it's finally time for Rockstar to show all the dedication to PC gamers. Red Dead Redemption 2 will be released on PC on November 5 and promises impressive surprises!
