Realme is just over a year old, and this year it launched its first high-end smartphone – the Realme X2 Pro. on the screen.
The first official image of this mysterious device was shared by Xu Qi Chase, the company's chief marketing officer, on the Weibo social network. As you can see in the image, the existence of 5G technology and the two front cameras on the upper left of the screen are evident.
The smartphone that will be called Realme X50, will be the first of the brand with 5G technology, but also the first to house a hole in the screen. It seems that after Samsung has introduced this concept into the Galaxy S10, more brands are now following in their footsteps.
Realme explains the logic of the name
The first high-end of the brand is called X2 Pro, so the move to X50 led to an explanation by Chase. X is the name of this most pioneering line, the 5th being the 5G implementation. 0 is for new beginnings, in this case associated with this mobile network technology.
Like the upcoming Redmi K30 5G, Realme says the X50 5G will work on both standalone and non-standalone 5G networks. This means easier transitions and better coverage in these networks.
Apart from these first features and image, Realme has not yet revealed more details about the device. For now its release date is also a mystery.
