During a question and answer session on Twitter, a Realme executive gave a very interesting news. It will be at the Mobile World Congress fair that the brand will unveil its first Smart TV.
Francis Wang did not elaborate, but said that this television will be destined for India. In addition, it has been said that its price will be affordable, which will make it a direct competitor of Xiaomi’s proposals.
The Barcelona fair is not a place where we normally see Smart TV’s being revealed. MWC is more directed towards smartphones, however, Realme will “shake the waters” with this product on February 24th.
Realme’s Smart TV will have fierce competition from Xiaomi
The Indian television market for televisions has clearly grown in recent years. Companies like Xiaomi, OnePlus or even Nokia are already part of this market and will compete with Realme’s Smart TV.
While OnePlus or Nokia products may not be considered affordable, Xiaomi has several alternatives with very tempting values. Therefore, it is safe to say that Xiaomi will be Realme’s main competitor in this market.
Realme’s television features are not yet known, but after this announcement it will be a matter of time before information emerges. Only with these details will we be able to see if this new Smart TV will really be able to rival Xiaomi’s rivals.
So far, we don’t have any information that allows us to understand whether Real’s Smart TV could also reach Europe. We hope that the company can bring it to the old continent as well.
