Realme has already achieved a prominent place in the smartphone market by following Xiaomi’s footsteps closely and ended up implementing the same strategy in other markets. After debuting in the smartwatch market recently with Realme Watch, the brand is ready to present a budget smartwatch, Realme Watch S.
For now, the confirmation was only made by the official Realme Pakistan account on Twitter, but everything indicates that the launch will be global, and the smartwatch is also expected in the various European markets.
Realme Watch S makes big promises to brand fans
Currently, one of the most popular smartwatches among Android users is the Amazfit GTS, which is very likely to offer the best price / quality ratio. With the recent confirmation of the arrival of the Amazfit GTS 2, it is with very good eyes that we see Realme betting on the same market segment.
To compete with Amazfit’s offer, the Realme Watch S will arrive with a 1.3 “inch OLED screen and support for automatic brightness, being the first of the brand to arrive with this sensor. As expected, we will have a sensor heart rate that also promises to support blood oxygen monitoring.
With a 390mAh battery, the manufacturer promises an autonomy of up to 15 days, which can probably only be achieved if you do not use all its features constantly. Still, everything indicates that it will be able to offer quite impressive autonomy.
As for its interface, we will have the same interface as in the original Realme smartwatch, which is a customized version of the FreeRT operating system. In addition, it has also been confirmed that Realme Watch S has an IP68 resistance certification, which should guarantee resistance to water and dust.
Unfortunately, we still have no information about its launch price. But several rumors point to a value of around € 80. If that were your price on arrival in Europe, I would risk stating that this could become one of the most sought after smartwatches by Android users.
