North American Qualcomm usually presents its new high-end processor in December. However, a new rumor from China says the Snapdragon 865 could be unveiled as early as November.
This statement comes from the user Digital Chat Station on the Chinese social network Weibo. According to what is advancing, this anticipation in the plans will be related to the Chinese competition.
The source mentions Huawei directly, but this seems to me an unreliable justification. The Chinese technology usually unveils its top processors in September.
The new Kirin unraveled by this time usually arrive to combat the Qualcomm processor introduced late last year. For simplicity, the Kirin 990 would be the direct competitor of the Snapadragon 855.
Samsung, Oppo, Vivo and Xiaomi will be first to use Snapdragon 865
The same source states that the above companies will be the first to prototype with the Snapdragon 865. Samsung and Xiaomi are often among the first to use Qualcomm's new top SoCs, so it does not seem to be unaware of this possibility.
Very little is known about Qualcomm Snapdragon 865
So far, there's little information to tell us what to expect from the upcoming North American top processor. Incidentally, not even the Snapdragon 865 designation is guaranteed, although it is the most likely.
That is why we must be very careful about this rumor. It is customary before these processors are introduced to know part of their specifications and for the time being none of this is true.
