The fourth expansion in the Sword & Shield Series is called Vivid Voltage. It was initially released in Japan as Amazing Volt Tackle. It's based on Pokemon Sword and Shield and features Generation VIII Pokemon. The focus is on the Mouse Pokemon Pikachu and Gigantamax. Unique Pokemon is a new card type that features Legendary and Mythical Pokemon. The English expansion was published on November 13, 2020, and the Japanese expansion was released on September 18, 2020. Vivid Voltage combines its Japanese counterpart set and the Legendary Heartbeat Subset.

On October 9, 2020, the Chinese Jing Tian Fu Te Gong Ji Amazing Volt Tackle extension was released in Taiwan and Hong Kong. This was marked when the Chinese TCG began to match the Japanese TCG sets. The Pokemon TCG: Sword & Shield -Vivid Voltage expansion offers new brilliance, maximum power and unprecedented brilliance. More Pokemon V is getting ready to fight, including the recently discovered Mythical Pokemon Zarude.
