Stormfront is the seventh and final major expansion to the Diamond & Pearl Series Pokemon Trading Card Game. It was initially released in Japan as Intense Fighting in the Destroyed Sky. It's based on Pokemon Pearl and Pokemon Diamond, with Generation IV. The English expansion was published on November 5, 2008, and the Japanese expansion was released on July 10, 2008. Intense Fight in the Destroyed Sky was published in anticipation of Giratina's and the Sky's Bouquet: Shaymin's eleventh Pokemon movie, which premiered nine days after the expansion was released. Stormfront contains both the Giratina-vs. Dialga Deck Set and its Japanese counterpart.
Stormfront released retro cards. These cards were previously available in Base Set, Jungle and Wizards Black Star Promos. They were updated with new artwork from the same artist and a modernized card layout. These cards were also included in the Secret card set. Shiny Pokemon returned as a subset, and they were numbered with an SH (SH#).
These cards were also used as Secret cards. While the Japanese print had Starlight Holofoil and the English print had Reverse Holofoil. This expansion's Japanese Pokemon LV.X print featured a Glossy overlay on top of their Cosmos Holofoil.
