Shiny Pokemon are rare and almost impossible to find, and Trainers who are lucky enough to catch them are considered very lucky. But they are still available in the Pokemon TCG expansion: Shining Fates. There are more than 100 Shiny Pokemon on beautifully etched cards and more than 30 Pokemon V and VMAX. Shining Fates was launched on February 19, 2021. It's similar to Champion's Path's notable expansions, where booster packs are limited to products marked with the word “Shining Fates”. However, specific cards were previously available in the V Battle Deck-Venusaur and Blastoise. Shining Fates comprises the Japanese Shiny Star V subset, the Venusaur & Blastoise VMAX Starter Sets, and the VMAX Special Set. A 122-card Shiny Vault subset is made up of Shiny Pokemon cards. It is possible to have one card in a booster, and this card will replace the Reverse Holofoil card.

Shiny Star V, the High-Class Pack Shiny Star V, was released in Japan on November 20, 2020. It continues the tradition established by previous High-Class Packs. The pack features a lot of reprinted cards with a particular focus on Pokemon VMAX and Pokemon VMAX. Many of the Pokemon in this subset have artwork that was previously only available in English expansions or other merchandise. A large number of Shiny Pokemon are also included in the subset.

They are all reprints from cards issued during the Sword & Shield Era and have a special embossed Holofoil treat. Shiny Pokemon V cards have different artwork and are in the “S” rarity. All Shiny Pokemon V cards use their previous Full Art prints artwork and are in the “SSR.” rarity. All non-secret cards have no rarity symbol except for Pokemon VMAX, Amazing Pokemon and Pokemon VMAX.
