Roaring Sky is the name for the sixth expansion in the XY Series of Pokemon Trading Card Game. It was initially released in Japan as Emerald Break, the sixth expansion of the Pokemon Card Game XY Era. It's based on Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire and features Generation VI Pokemon and Mega Rayquaza.
The English expansion was published on May 6, 2015. The Japanese expansion was released on March 14, 2015. The Pokemon TCG: XY–Roaring Skies expansion will take you on a journey of adventure! With over 100 new cards, you can soar to victory! Mega Rayquaza EX, a new Mega Evolution Pokemon, makes its grand debut. Mega Latios EX and a host of Dragon-type Pokemon are also present.
Deoxys and Dragonite, Zekrom and Hydreigon, and Thundurus-EX and Zekrom-EX are high-flying stars that make you stronger, faster, and more powerful. With all-new boosts such as Mega Turbo and Double Dragon Energy cards, the sky is the limit with the XY–-Roaring Skies expansion
The XYRoaring Skies expansion contains:
- More than 100 new cards available to collect and enjoy
- 11 new Pokemon-EX, including four new Mega Evolution Pokemon and nine new full-art rare Ultra Pokemon-EX cards
- Seventeen trainer cards, two Ultra cards and a new Special Energy Card add depth and strategy to the Pokemon TCG.
- Two new decks of themes are designed to introduce players to the Pokemon TCG.
- Code cards in booster packs and theme decks that unlock virtual cards from XY-Roaring Skies expansion to play in the Pokemon Trading Card Game Online
