Plasma Storm is the eighth Black & White Series expansion for the Pokemon Trading Card Game. It was initially released in Japan as Plasma Gale, and it's based on Pokemon Black & White and features Generation V Pokemon and Team Plasma. The English expansion was published on February 6, 2013, and the Japanese expansion on September 14, 2012.
Team Plasma cards required a visually enhanced card design. The artwork window and card border were both blues. The Stage strip, Evolution circle, the Pokemon's data border, and the Pokedex entry borders were also blue. Below the HP and type symbols was a Team Plasma bar. The Team Plasma logo was prominently displayed in the Attack box and Description box of Trainer cards.
The Team Plasma logo includes full-colour prints of Team Plasma Pokemon-EX. A blue aura surrounds the Team Plasma Pokemon. The Team Plasma cards make a bold debut in the Pokemon TCG Black & White–Plasma Storm expansion. These new cards are characterized by a striking blue border and blue tints in the card chrome. The infamous Team Plasma shield distinguishes these cards from all other Pokemon TCG cards. More Pokemon-EX, such as Victini, Cobalion, and Lugia, is also added to the atmosphere.
The Pokemon TCG: Black & White – Plasma Storm contains more than 130 cards. This includes three never-before-seen ACE SPEC Cards that are so powerful that players can only bring one to battle!
