Lost Origin, the eleventh expansion in the Sword & Shield Series of the Pokemon Trading Card Game, will be released on September 9, 2022. It will be known as Lost Abyss in Japan and the eleventh expansion to the Pokemon Card Game Sword & Shield Era.
Lost Origin consists of cards sourced from the Japanese Lost Abyss expansion and the Dark Phantasma Subset. It also includes cards from VSTAR & VMAX high-class decks, the VSTAR & VMAX Low-Class Decks, Battle Region expansion cards not located in Astral Radiance and some cards from VMAX Climax.
One of the main Pokemon in the expansion is the Renegade Pokemon Giratina. It appears in its Origin Forme. Giratina V, Giratina VSTAR and Giratina V are two of several cards that have abilities or attacks that interact with the Lost Zone. This mechanic was last seen in the Sun & Moon Series expansion, Cosmic Eclipse.
The “shadowy aura” is a purple, pink, and turquoise-coloured wisp that surrounds the Pokemon in regular prints of Pokemon V and Pokemon VSTAR, as well as the illustration window on regular prints, which can identify these cards. Lost Origin contains more Hisuian Pokemon, including Hisuian Zoroark VSTAR (and Hisuian Goodra VSTAR) and Radiant Pokemon like Radiant Gardevoir. Another subset of Trainer Gallery contains primarily Full Art reproductions, which depict a trainer and a Pokemon.
Lost Origin will be available as a PDF in Engerman, German, French, Italian, and Portuguese. Lost Abyss is available in Japanese, Chinese as well as Korean, Thai, and Indonesian. Each Lost Origin booster pack includes ten cards from this expansion, a code card to use with the Pokemon Trading Card Game Live, and an elemental Energy or VSTAR marker card. Five cards are included in each Lost Abyss pack. Giratina VSTAR tears down the boundaries between dimensions and plunges the entire world into the dark shadow of the Lost Zone.
The Lost Zone's power is dangerous. Cards sent here cannot be retrieved, unlike the discard pile. Aerodactyl VSTAR uses this distorted power. However, Magnezone, Drapion, Hisuian Bonafia and Hisuian Zoroark appear as Pokemon VSTAR to display their unique skills. Kyurem VMAX joins them. Radiant Gardevoir and Enamorus V are above the shadows. They conjure dazzling magical effects in the Sword & Shield – Lost Origin expansion.
