What secrets has Mew kept from Pokemon trainers? EX Legend Maker(TM) will reveal the secrets behind the most mysterious Pokemon! This is where legends are made!
EX Legend Maker is the title for the 12th major expansion in the EX Series of Pokemon Trading Card Game. It was initially released in Japan as Mirage Forest, and this set includes Generation III Pokemon and Mew. The English expansion was published on February 13, 2006, and the Japanese expansion on June 30, 2005.
This expansion was created in Mirage Forest, home to rare Pokemon such as the Mew. EX Legend Maker is the latest expansion to the Pokemon TCG. It brings legends to life! This expansion allows you to combine rare Pokemon, such as Mew, with the card mechanics of React Energy. It's a significant expansion! Your opponents will be stunned by your favourite Pokemon's new Poke-Powers or Poke-Bodies.
React Energy is a new and exciting card in EX Legend Maker. React Most Pokemon use Energy to obtain 1 Colorless Energy. However, certain Pokemon can go beyond that! React Energy can trigger additional abilities, such as extra damage, Energy control and defensive moves. You can make your opponent react stronger than you.
Wailord (14/92) works well even with just one React Energy attached. The Reactive Lift Poke-Body gives all your Water Pokemon a free retreat cost… except your Pokemon-ex, and they will have to look after themselves. Wailord'ss attacks, which put the Defending Pokémon Asleep or pound the Defending Pokémon based on how many Stage 1 Pokemon you have on your Bench, are pretty remarkable.
Beware of Gengar (5/92) and all its weird tricks. The damage counters that appear from nowhere are everywhere! Shadow Curse is activated when your opponent Knocks Out Gengar, and it can cause damage counters to any of your opponent's Pokemon.
Gengar's Cursed Reaction attack, which can damage 2 or 4 of your opponent's Pokemon (if Gengar has a React Energie attached), can place damage counters on any one of your Pokemon, Benched and otherwise. Combine Gengar and the Pokemon Tool Cursed powder (EX Unseen Forces 80/115), which places three damage counters to the Attacking Pokemon if Gengar has been Knocked Out. This will make your opponent think: Let Gengar stay or surrender now.
Omastar (23/92) pulls your opponent's Pokemon into a whirlpool. Although the damage from its Drag Off attack appears relatively light, Omastar'ss attacks do 20 more damage if there are Kabutos, Kabutops or Kabutops in play. Hydro Splash can be used to take out your opponent's larger Pokemon, and drag Off allows you to choose which Pokemon to fight.
Strange Cave (77/92) allows you to be on the spot with incredible abilities. You can place one of the many Stage 1 Pokemon into play once during your turn. This skips the Fossil step, and you can skip steps to get to Stage 2 Pokemon faster. This is because it doesn't require you to draw Fossil cards. Strange Cave, a powerful Stadium card, can help you set the scene for your Fossil takeover.
Finally, the legendary Pokemon Mewes (88/92) appears in this expansion with incredible powers. It appears only to have one attack: it searches for Energy before disappearing. Mewex'ss Poke-Body is the real trick, allowing Mewex to duplicate any pokemon's attacks. This card is for you if you want to play with legends!
