You can now catch the best Pokemon ever! The HeartGold & SoulSilver expansion includes new cards that will revolutionize your play, such as Pokemon Prime and the amazing Pokemon LEGENDs Lugia. Many Trainer cards will help you speed up your game and give you Energy cards with a fresh look.
The first significant expansion in the HeartGold & SoulSilver Series is called HeartGold & SoulSilver. It was initially released in Japan as the dual expansion of the HeartGold Collection/SoulSilver Collection. These expansions make up the first block of the Pokemon Card Game LEGENDEra. It is based upon Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver with Generation II Pokemon. The English expansion was published on February 10, 2010, and the Japanese edition was released on October 9, 2009.
HeartGold & SoulSilver introduced Pokemon Prime. This is a new type of Pokemon. Pokemon Prime was significantly more powerful than its regular counterparts. Pokemon Prime featured a Holofoil card border and gold foil name text. There were also spikes along the borders of the artwork window. The Pokedex entry was missing.
The artwork included a close-up view of the Pokemon's faces. Reverse Holofoil was replaced in booster packs. The Pokemon LEGEND card set featured Legendary Pokemon. It consisted of two cards: the top and bottom halves. When they were in play, they were considered one card and each half of the card had to be played to the Bench simultaneously.
Pokemon LEGEND's two drawbacks were introduced to compensate for the higher HP and more potent attacks. Each half of the card has the same name, so you can only use two cards from each side in a 60-card deck. Two Prize cards would be awarded to the opponent upon their defeat. This expansion does not include Lugia LEGEND or Ho-Oh LEGEND.
The entire card comprises Pokemon LEGEND, which was entirely Holofoil. The top half contained the HP and the illustrator's name in Japanese and English, while the bottom portion included the attack box, game rule box, and weakness and retreat cost. The artwork seemed to push aside the card text in the attack boxes. The heart and soul of any great Pokemon trainer are Pokemon, so now you have the chance to catch the best Pokemon with the new Pokemon Trading Card Game (TCG).
You'll discover new cards that will revolutionize the way you play, including Pokemon Prime and the incredible Pokemon legends Ho-Oh & Lugia. There will also be many Trainer cards to help you speed up your game and Energy cards with a fresh look. With the HeartGold & SoulSilver expansion, you can start your path to greatness.
The brand new Pokemon TCG: HeartGold & SoulSilver expansion contains more than 120 cards. It will be available in retail stores across the country on February 10, 2010.
Lugia and the Legendary Pokemon Hoo-Oh debut in the HeartGold & SoulSilver expansion as Pokemon Legends. Each of these new features will revolutionize the way you play. Each Pokemon must be represented on two cards to bring out a Pokemon, and this is offset by the tremendous power these Pokemon possess!
Lugia LEGEND's Elemental Blast attack, for example, does 200 damage. This is more than any other Pokemon in the entire game's history. The LEGEND cards are easily recognized by their stunning artwork and alignment of attack text. Turn the cards upside down to see what these powerful Pokemon can do! You should make room for Lugia LEGEND and Ho-Oh LEGEND in your deck!
The excitement surrounding the new cards' abilities and attacks makes it easy to overlook the incredible new artwork. The beautiful watercolour designs of Lugia LEGEND (Ho-Oh LEGEND) and Lugia LEGEND (Lugia LEGEND) will draw attention. There are many other cards you can choose from that will make it difficult to decide whether to add them or frame them for your wall.
The new basic Energy cards are more fashionable than ever, while the shiny Prime cards like Meganium Prime or Ampharos Prime will make your deck stand out. Here's another thing to notice: Pokemon that evolve from special items in video games are displayed with those items in their images. Exeggutor is shown in Exeggcute with a Leaf Stone, and this is the exact item it needs to evolve. Have fun looking for them all!
Are you looking for retired cards? You might be able to find them in the HeartGold & SoulSilver expansion! Double Colorless Energy is a new Energy card that's not been seen since the original Pokemon Trading Card Game. It's one of the most exciting cards in the expansion. Many other beloved Supporter cards return to HeartGold & SoulSilver. These include Copycat, which allows you to shuffle your deck and draw the same amount of cards as your opponent.
Fisherman lets you search your discard pile and find four basic Energy cards you can put in your hand. Veteran players of TCG will be thrilled to see their favourite cards back, while new players will have the opportunity to try out new strategies with the cards.
