Poll: bigger batteries or faster charging?

Since the advent of smartphones, mobile phones have become more than just equipment for calls and messages. Nowadays you can do a little bit of everything on your phone, from playing console-quality games to doing jobs and having productivity similar to a computer.

However, all this innovation comes at a price: the battery. There go the days where the batteries lasted for days on end. With operating systems and more components, mobile phones have less autonomy. So, we ask the question: what is the solution to this?

It is the question we ask you in today’s poll. There are users who prefer to have a mobile phone with a massive battery (and a few millimeters more in thickness) and have autonomy for confident use for 2-3 days.

On the other hand, there are users who don’t mind that the battery is smaller as long as charging is fast. The truth is that this is the path that companies have been betting on in recent years. Huawei was quite successful with its fast charging, currently at 40W and rumored at 60W for the P40.

Xiaomi and Oppo are in constant competition to create the fastest charging possible. Recently, both companies have tested amazing speeds of 100W where we will certainly see a mobile phone with this capacity this year.

A disadvantage of such breakneck speeds is the rapid wear on the battery cells. With such a quick charge, the battery will spend more time “clinging” to the charger and will shorten its life span.

So tell us your opinion. We will eventually publish the results in a few weeks, so stay tuned. We are curious to know the opinion of our readers.
