Forty years after the release of the original Pac-Man, Bandai Namco wants to take the game literally to the street. And so it is preparing a game that promises to rival Pokémon GO.
The game will be, like the Niantic title, based on location and will be called Pac-man Geo. And get ready to run after the famous blocks at home … or through the streets.

You can now pre-register Pac-Man Geo on Android and iOS
Starting this fall, you’ll be able to play Pac-Man Geo. For now, it’s only possible to register via your Android on the Google Play Store or iOS on the Apple App Store.

Through the Play Store, you can read: “Pac-man Geo will allow players to experience the real world like the yellow doll in this game of geographic information”.
“New York, Paris, Tokyo … make a Pac-man maze by choosing from a variety of real-world streets. Reach the highest score on exclusive streets in the real world and collect landmarks from famous places around the world. Even in the comfort of your home ”, conclude in the game description.
It will be interesting to see how interaction with landmarks and other players will work, taking into account what we know about Pokémon GO. It remains to be seen what the mechanics of the game will look like, and how it might be somewhat repetitive.
