The day has finally come, Cyberpunk 2077 has officially reached the players’ hands, putting an end to several waiting for one of the most anticipated titles of recent times.
The anticipated RPG from CD Projekt RED is already subject to public scrutiny, and reports of players criticizing the game are pouring in, especially on the previous generation’s PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles.
The Polish producer had already warned of the possibility that these consoles will not be able to run Cyberpunk 2077 as well as the new generation ones, but now it seems that the question has been highly devalued.
Cyberpunk 2077 features several bugs that detract from the experience
Twitter is currently flooded with clips and screenshots that show a huge variety of bugs, difficulties in rendering scenarios and problems with frame-rate.
The game received, immediately after being unlocked, a huge Day One patch, precisely intended to correct major problems that could affect the players’ immersion.
However, not everything has been resolved in this first fix, and future updates are promised to mitigate further difficulties.
PS4 and Xbox One versions are the most affected, PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X with less problems
Consoles of the past generation have, of course, less processing power to run the game, and both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S seem to handle Cyberpunk 2077 better. The same is true with the PC, especially if the machine is recent and powerful.
Despite this, even on these platforms the game has received some criticism, with many suggesting that the game was launched in haste, even after successive postponements. Still, more than a million people simultaneously toured Night City in the first few hours since launch.
The next few days should bring news regarding the performance of Cyberpunk 2077, after tempers have calmed down and CD Projekt RED has managed to stabilize the performance.
