PopCap Games, responsible for the already legendary Plants vs Zombies saga, confirmed that Plants vs Zombies 3 is already being made available for Android and iOS in some markets. This launch is being carried out in a very controlled way, serving as the final testing and improvement phase of the new game.
In addition to the confirmation of its launch, several new features that were implemented in the game were also revealed. The studio’s main goal is to focus on social interactions, faster combat mechanisms and maximize the mobile gaming experience.
Plants vs Zombies 3 will be more interactive and perfect for playing anywhere!
According to the information revealed, one of the changes that will be impossible to go unnoticed is the fact that the game is played vertically. Despite considerably reducing the viewing angle, PopCap says that this decision had only one reason, “to make the game more practical on smartphones”.
Although they did not reveal more specific details about the new features, they confirmed that one of the main objectives in the new title was to increase its social aspect considerably. Therefore, it is to be expected that some of the new features will involve interaction between the millions of players.
In addition, a few more changes have been implemented that should make the entire gaming experience more complex and also engaging. In the first place, the lines of defense that were composed by the “lawnmowers” were removed, forcing a more refined strategic mentality.
The entire game is now presented with 3D graphics, which will replace the traditional 2D graphics. This evolution is guaranteed to make Plants vs Zombies 3 more engaging than its predecessors.
With no official release date yet, PopCap released the game only in the Philippines for now, planning to add more markets as they approach the final product.
