Oppo is one of the most important technological brands in China and has recently arrived in UK officially. For now, the Chinese has not yet brought any of its tops here, but we hope that this could change with the launch of the Oppo Reno 4.
Its new top of the range has just been in the news after the appearance of some images of it on the social network Weibo. These appear to be from the equipment’s advertising material and reveal some details of the Oppo Reno 4.
Oppo Reno 4 drank some of the design of the iPhone 11 Pro cameras
The rear of the Oppo Reno 4 is the star of these images. When looking at it, we quickly noticed the large size of the sensors in its cameras.
These are now much larger than those of its predecessor, something that reminds us of the lenses of the iPhone 11 Pro. Still, these are arranged vertically and not in a triangle like those of the iPhone.
We then see that the rear camera of the Oppo Reno 4 will consist of four lenses. We have the three largest ones that should be the main sensor, a telephoto and a wide angle. The fourth is at the bottom of the module and could very well be a ToF or macro.
New Reno 4 will come with 65W and 5G fast charging
Oppo was among the first to launch a 65W fast charging smartphone. At the time, this was a new high in the smartphone market and it seems that the company has not yet managed to surpass that threshold.
The images that motivate this article attest that the Oppo Reno 4 will come with 65W fast charging. Additionally, a camera with outstanding stabilization and 5G connectivity is advertised.
Name generates some suspicion
If so far everything seems in order, it is the name of the smartphone that starts to lead some doubts. And these are motivated by the presence of the number four in its designation.
In China, four is usually associated with bad luck. This superstition is so great that it even led OnePlus to move from OnePlus 3T to OnePlus 5. Since Oppo is part of the same BBK Electronics conglomerate, it is plausible that it will do something similar and this leaves us behind on the true designation of this top range.
