OnePlus 6 - Everything we already know before the presentation on the 16th
OnePlus 6 OnePlus 5T design
The Chinese manufacturer has given us plenty of clues about its upcoming Android terminal. Arrives May 16th.

The smartphone Oneplus 6 will be the next high end of the Chinese manufacturer founded in 2013 by Pete Lau and Carl Pei. It will be officially presented on the day May 16th 2018 in London, the capital of the United Kingdom. By then, we've learned just about everything about this device with Google's Android Oreo operating system.

This will be the first of two high-end smartphones to be launched by the company this year. Indeed, the "6" is coming soon to replace the OnePlus 5T introduced by the brand in November 2017.

Now, about 10 days from your official presentation, let's recap everything we already know. Everything has been confirmed by the brand itself. All that the leaks revealed and all that the tests of benchmark have also been showing.

These three main sources of information (brand, leakage and benchmarks) give us a clear idea of Oneplus 6. Right now, just the price tag eludes us and possibly some new software "tricks" that the brand can implement on your smartphone.

Everything we already know about OnePlus 6

Starting from this already by its operating system we will have here Android Oreo 8.1 from the North American technology, Google. At this point there are no doubts. What's more, we'll have OnePlus's own interface (UI), its OxygenOS in version 5. Something the company is proud of for the simplicity and speed of the entire graphical interface. We will have a clean interface, with some additions to the "pure" Android environment but without ever escaping this premise, or rather the 3 premises. THE simplicity, speed and energy saving.

Software – Android Oreo by Google with OxygenOS

Ensuring that Google's Android Oreo 8.1 system is perfectly optimized for its OxygenOS, OnePlus 6 will be extremely fast. By the way, the slogan or "motto" of the smartphone is "the speed you need" in a liberal translation of "The Speed You Need"

The new generation of this smartphone with Google's Android Oreo platform arrives May 2018

The Android manufacturer that used to offer us great value for money on their smartphones should not disappoint. At hardware level we have all the best features and technical specifications available. It is identified by its model number – A6000.

Hardware – Qualcomm Snapdragon 845

Starting with your "heart", your mobile processor / platform or SoC (system on chip) here we have the Snapdragon 845 from Qualcomm inside. This is the latest chip from the US manufacturer and also the most powerful.

It consists of a total of 8 processing cores, so one octa-core composed of two clusters (groups) of cores. The first (4 cores) with maximum frequencies of 2.7GHz for impeccable performance and to handle the heavy tasks. They are Kryo 385 Gold cores.

The second cluster consists of the remaining 4 cores with a maximum processing frequency at 1.7GHz, being optimized here for energy saving. These are the cores that go into action to handle simple tasks like communications. They are Kryo 385 Silver cores.

Not neglecting the graphics performance here is the Adreno 630 which is currently one of the most capable graphics (graphics processing unit). You'll be able to run any and all games you can find on the Google Play store.

Battery and Autonomy in OnePlus 6

Where we can only refer to the presence of a 3300mAh capacity battery, as in its predecessor. Although initial reports suggest a 3450mAh battery, TENAA has certified OnePlus 6 with a 3300mAh.

Still, it will not be unthinkable to see improved autonomy given that the new processor (SD845) is more efficient than the previous one (SD835). What's more, we have Dash Charge fast loading here. Not likely to bring wireless charging.

What will this OnePlus 6 be made of?

The manufacturer founded by Pete Lau and Carl Pei will introduce us to a new design.

Glass. Metal. These will be the two building materials used in OnePlus 6. The next smartphone with Google's Android Oreo platform will bring a metal frame to give it the necessary rigidity.

However, this year we will move from metal to glass as the main building material, something that has already been indicted by the brand itself. The unmistakable brilliance of this material can be seen in many teasers shared by the company in recent weeks.

We can also gauge the presence of the door headphone jack, the 3.5mm audio port, in addition to a Type C USB port. We will also have a unique speaker at its bottom edge.

Google's Android Oreo will have a special touch on this OnePlus 6

We also know that the new OnePlus 6 smartphone will have some resistance to the elements. I refer here to water resistance, or at least splashing – IP53 Certification. However, the possibility of having water resistance – IP67 / 68 certification is not excluded.

We also know that OnePlus 6 will have a blank, glass version. There is also likely to be an equally glass version in Black. We are also waiting for the arrival of a version with a peculiar texture on its back, something that has already been suggested by leakster Evan Blass (@evleaks).

In addition to the conventional versions of OnePlus 6 we will also have the special and limited edition, "Avengers Infinity War Edition". This version is expected to be exclusive to the Indian and / or Chinese markets.

Internal Memory and RAM in OnePlus 6

We will have a total of 6GB RAM in the base version of this Android smartphone. Similarly, this version will be accompanied by 64GB internal storage, not expandable via microSD memory card.

We also have two top versions, both with a total of 8GB of RAM. They will also feature 128GB or 256GB internal memory, and there are still some doubts about the exact memory scheme.

Photo and video on this smartphone with Google's Android Oreo

At camera level we will have a dual configuration at its rear with 16MP+20MP. In the front we will have a sensor of 20MP. That said, we may have exactly the same configuration as its predecessor, the 5T.

Still, we expect the brand to bring a new bet in this regard, maintaining the resolution but improving the image processing. Similarly, the terminal is expected to finally bring optical image stabilization (OIS). Something that has not yet been confirmed.

OnePlus 6 Screen / Display

The new Android smartphone will bring a screen with technology AMOLED (Optic). Here with a total resolution of 2280 x 1080 pixels, so the standard Full HD +. Will display format / pattern 19: 9 to accommodate the notch / notch at the top of the screen. Then we can see what it looks like.

This was the information recently confirmed by TENAA, alluding to the screen. Already rumored, your screen will have 6.28 inches diagonal, coated with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 glass.

In terms of physical dimensions OnePlus 6 will measure 155.7 x 75.35 x 7.75mm (height x width x thickness). We also learn that this smartphone with Google's Android Oreo platform will weigh 179 grams.

Unfortunately, at least for now, the price of OnePlus 6 remains a complete mystery, especially for European markets. For the Indian market, recently we have seen an information leak suggesting a price increase.

One thing that no longer raises doubts is its date of submission. Android maker confirmed the May 16th presentation event in London with 17th events in China and India.

Finally, it should be made clear that all this information can only be fully confirmed with the presentation of the product. They interpret all these lines with a good deal of skepticism and critical thinking.
