OnePlus 5T Review | An Android you have to consider!

The time has come for us to look at the OnePlus 5T. The new Android from the Chinese company was unveiled a few months after its predecessor, and although it has received some criticism for it, it is beyond doubt a terminal to consider.

OnePlus began its journey with the motto "Flagship Killer". Admittedly, this slogan is no longer true. The prices of their smartphones have risen considerably, as have competitors.

Even so, this OnePlus 5T deserves a positive highlight in almost every parameter. I don't consider it a perfect smartphone for personal reasons, however, if you look at the terminal as techblogger, it's hard not to recommend it if your budget is around 500 €.

OnePlus 5T is currently for € 464 at this article's link

There are two variants of OnePlus 5T. We have 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory, model of this review, and the variant of 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

Since we tested the inferior model, it gives us perfectly to evaluate the "minimum" standards of the 5T. As the big difference between the variants are the memories, you'll still have excellent build quality, fantastic screen and a quality camera.

Build quality

OnePlus 5T Android Oreo OxygenOS Open Beta 2

The build quality of the OnePlus 5T is phenomenal. Although it is a terminal lover with glass construction, this metal gives it a premium touch. The device still has a "sharp" back but the feel in the hand is top notch. Just spending less than € 500 doesn't mean you don't deserve the best.

The buttons have a nice click and it is impossible to hear any noise of "loose parts". People are afraid of buying terminals from China for the quality of construction, in this case it is quiet, the OnePlus 5T has extreme quality.

The OnePlus 5T screen

This screen is finally different. The predecessor was criticized for giving us an old fashioned design. I speak of the huge shores that made little sense in 2017/2018. The OnePlus 5T is a forward thinking terminal. The device gives us a 6.01 "inch screen with FullHD + resolution and AMOLED technology.

This AMOLED screen is simply phenomenal. It is rare for us to see a non-Samsung smartphone that offers us a screen with this saturation and quality. The capacitive is perfect and the margins are finally reduced.

Personally I would like more to have the terminal with smaller dimensions, however, it is a personal opinion that does not interfere with its evaluation.

And the cameras of the OnePlus 5T

The photographic sector was also a bit of a turning point in the 5Q compared to 5. Android has a dual 16MP + 20MP sensor. In the predecessor we were given a 2X optical zoom sensor, something that doesn't happen on this model.

I am sorry for all those photography fans, but little difference I felt. Photos are extremely high quality in good light situations and when the light goes out the OnePlus 5T gives us a very acceptable quality.

The grain exists but the quality is far superior to any other terminal of the same value. If you want a superior camera on a smartphone you really have to raise your budget. The front camera is acceptable and you will be pleased with its performance.

In performance, is the OnePlus 5T worth it?

<p class=

This is where OnePlus deserves praise. OnePlus 5T, even 6GB of RAM, gives us sublime performance. No obstacles, no problems. The OxygenOS User Interface is very identical to pure Android and there is no better than that.

It is simple and effective. There is nothing to point for in this OnePlus 5T. You'll run everything you need without ever being frustrated with the terminal.

Android Oreo 8.0.0 arrived almost without any bugs. I had an application crash or two, but nothing that was inadmissible. The terminal will run dozens of applications without problem.

Your specifications at a glance:

 • 6.01 ″ inch AMOLED display
 • FHD resolution 2160 × 1080 pixels
 • Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor running 2.45GHz
 • 6GB RAM
 • 64GB internal storage
 • 3400 mAh battery
 • 16MP + 20MP Rear Camera
 • 16MP front camera
 • SEM MicroSD Slot

Extras to consider

There are a few things to keep in mind in OnePlus 5T. The 3300 mAh battery charges super fast (SUPER) and the battery lasts for a day of use even in severe use.

The fingerprint reader is fast but Face Unlock is even more so. Unfortunately Face Unlock is not as secure as Apple Face ID, however, unlocking the terminal in this way is much nicer than the fingerprint reader. Even so the reader is fast, very fast.

There are two features that I would like to have seen on OnePlus 5T and unfortunately they did not appear. I speak of resistance to water and dust. I know that not everyone needs this feature, but I would like it to be implemented. The other is columns stereo. It seems to me a matter of time before all the tops offer it.

If you have € 500 and are thinking of buying a new smartphone the OnePlus 5T is the perfect match. The terminal is simply fantastic in almost every respect. A change here or there would do you no harm (especially in size), but I think for the price you won't find it better.
