This Wednesday the GSMA confirmed that they were forced to cancel the Mobile World Congress 2020 in Barcelona. The technology fair was going to take place at the end of February, but it was canceled as prevention of the coronavirus. As a result, the global launch of the Mi 10 will also be delayed

Xiaomi released a statement a few minutes ago, saying it will have to postpone the launch of the new Xiaomi Mi 10 until an indefinite date. It should be recalled that this was scheduled for February 23.

“Xiaomi is aware of and understands the GSMA’s decision to cancel MWC Barcelona 2020. As the safety of Xiaomi employees, partners, media and guests is our priority, we will also postpone the global launch of the Mi 10 originally planned for 23 February, the day before MWC ”, can be read in the statement above.

“We are going to organize a separate event in Europe at a later date, where we will share information about the Mi 10 and more fantastic products”, says the company before thanking everyone.

This announcement comes shortly after Xiaomi introduced the new Mi 10 in China. All the details of the new devices are already known, with the global launch being a way for the brand to communicate them globally and reveal their prices outside of China.
