Nokia has just announced its upcoming mid-range for 2019. Nokia 3.2 and 4.2 are devices that feature a futuristic design, but a price that will appeal to those who don't want to spend more than € 200 on a device.
The presentation took place at Mobile World Congress and gave consumers new options for those looking for pure Android at a low price. Thus, these two models hit the market with entry specifications, but with design above their price.
Nokia 4.2 is interesting for its price
In fact, Nokia 4.2 is not the successor of any model. We have glass front and back with a plastic frame. This is the most premium model of the two, but also the most expensive. It features a notch drop of water on a 5.71 inch panel at 720p.
The device will be equipped with Snapdragon 439 and you can count on 2 and 3GB versions of RAM. These versions thus vary depending on your storage – 16 or 32GB expandable.
In terms of cameras, you can undeniably count on two at its rear – one 13 MP and f / 2.2 aperture and one 2 MP. We will also have autofocus and LED flash. What's more, the big news in this range is that we have the night mode. Also on its back, we have a fingerprint sensor.
The small notch has in its center the 8 MP front camera, designed for selfies and also with the possibility of facial unlocking. Moreover, one of the great draw in Nokia 4.2 is that it has a dedicated button for Google Assistant.
Prices are only known to those of the American market. $ 169 for the 16GB version and $ 199 for the 32GB. Nokia 4.2 will also be available in Black and Pink Sand.
Nokia 3.2: Fewer Specs, But More Battery
As for Nokia 3.2 is the natural successor of 3.1 and 3.1 Plus. Still, we have bigger screen, less margins, more battery and a new processor.
So you can count on a 6.26 inch 720x1520p screen with the notch water droplet for the front camera. In this model, the processor is the Snapdragon 429, with 2 / 16GB or 3 / 32GB, depending on which version you choose. However the 3 / 32GB version is the only one with a fingerprint sensor.
Nokia 3.2 does not have night mode
The rear camera is 13 MP, has autofocus, but you can forget about night mode on this model. The front camera is 5 MP and serves not only for selfies but to unlock the device facially. In this model you can count on a 4000mAh battery.
You will also have Android Pie with the Android One program and a notification light on the power button – just like in 4.2. We also have 4G, FM Radio and the button dedicated to Google Assistant.
The smartphone is expected to hit the market in April, priced at $ 139 for the 16GB model and $ 169 for the 32GB biometric sensor model. There are no official prices for the European market at this time.
