Netflix starts testing a new button that will decide for you your next series!

Netflix has brought several new features to its streaming service, not all of which have managed to please millions of users. Now, it seems that the company is determined to end users’ indecision by starting to test the implementation of a new button.

The new feature “Shuffle Play” is starting to appear in several users, but it seems that for now it is still in the testing phase. According to the published images, the new button is positioned under the various profiles.

How this new random feature works on Netflix

As you would imagine, this new addition does not bring much innovation, being already a traditional feature in the various music reproduction services. However, with regard to the various streaming services, it had never been implemented.

Just like you do on Spotify or any other music service, the “Shuffle Play” feature will basically start the immediate playback of a random movie or series. However, it seems that this button on Netflix will not be completely random, taking into account all the content already seen by users.

According to information advanced by Netflix to the TechCrunch website, this feature has the main objective of helping users to find new content according to their preferences, as quickly and simply as possible.

While many users may simply ignore the new button, it is easy to see the company’s intentions. Often, when you reach the end of a series, you end up wasting time looking for a new one that might be interesting. This simple button is guaranteed to make your search much faster.

It is important to remember that this new button is only in the experimental stage, having been made available only to some users. Certainly the company will assess the reaction of users, and then decide whether to cement their arrival at the service.
