After a long wait, last September fans of the legendary Mario Kart could finally play their favorite game on both iOS and Android. However, the Mario Kart Tour ended up arriving with a very unpleasant surprise. The implementation of a “Gold Pass” to access all content ended up disappointing millions of fans.
Still, the hefty price of the “Gold Pass” (€ 4.99 per month) does not seem to have removed all Mario Kart fans and, during its first month alone, managed to reach almost 130 million installations. Now, new information indicates that the mode Multiplayer it can finally be available to all players.
No dates have been revealed for its final release, but the arrival of the second test phase is also available for players who do not have a “Gold Pass”. Thus, any fan who is willing to compete online against other players, will be able to do so without having to invest money in the game.
Multiplayer mode will definitely bring “bonuses” for those who spend money
It is with good eyes that we see the possibility of Nintendo making Multiplayer available to all players. However, it seems unlikely to put “free” and “premium” players on the same level. It would not be surprising if they ended up implementing a kind of Battle Pass, bringing several extras for players who decide to invest their money in the game.
However, it is important to emphasize that at the moment, it is only speculation, since no more official information about this new implementation has been revealed.
There is still no information on how long this second test phase will last, or if it will be the last one before its final launch. Still, the tests are believed to end in the coming months.
