MIUI 12 hides Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro secret in code

The first secrets about the Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro are being discovered, little by little, through the code of MIUI 12. And the most recent reveals what will be the screen resolution of the coming smartphone.

The senior member of the XDA forum “kacskrz” scanned the code lines of the MIUI 12 Settings app based on Android 11. And it was easy to see that we can count on a QHD + screen.

Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro will have Quad HD + screen with a resolution of 3200 by 1440 pixels

The lines of code show the 3200×1440 which, by themselves, do not directly refer to the Mi 11 Pro. leaker Digital Chat Station recently mentioned, stating that this would be the resolution of the future equipment.

In the same line of code there is a reference to the fact that this resolution consumes more energy. The source says it will be possible for the screen to automatically switch to FullHD + to save energy when no higher resolution is needed.

Xiaomi is expected to combine this resolution with the 120Hz refresh rate. Remember that the Mi 10 Pro stood at Full HD + resolution and 90Hz refresh rate.

The OnePlus 8 Pro or Oppo Find X2 Pro, launched this year, already combine a QuadHD + panel with 120Hz. It will therefore be a healthy leap forward from Xiaomi, which will thus be available to users who see it as an asset.

For now, the launch date of the Xiaomi Mi 11 / Mi 11 Pro is not yet known. The usual calendar points to February or March, but Xiaomi can follow the steps from Samsung and present its next top of the range in a timely manner,
