LG is one of the manufacturers that is also working on a folding smartphone but not yet proven. LG's new folding smartphone patent shows us a design very similar to the Huawei Mate X.
So far we have 3 major manufacturers with folding devices. Samsung has already brought the Galaxy Fold to the UK's market, we also have the Huawei Mate X and the wonderful Motorola Razr.
This is the patent for the folding smartphone from LG
We can see that the smartphone will follow the same ideology as Huawei's device. That is, a device that turns into a tablet when open and a large smartphone when closed.
The cameras of the mobile phone are in the corner of the terminal and will serve as front and rear camera. Even when closed the cameras should be uncovered.
Huawei Mate X was one that fascinated
If it weren't for Huawei's problem with deploying Google services on its devices, this Mate X would surely be on the market. Huawei Mate X convinced the presentation and many preferred the design of the Chinese manufacturer over Samsung.
With this Huawei problem LG will be able to attack the market in a crucial way. Bring a device everyone wants in their pocket faster than Huawei to the western market.
LG can follow Motorola's footsteps
LG, like Motorola, were disappearing in the mobile segment. But the trend of folding smartphones could bring exactly the attention LG needs.
I remember that LG is one of the leading manufacturers of folding screens and has everything to proliferate in this new segment. Let's just hope you don't make the mistakes of the past.
