LG has announced a new mid-range smartphone that will integrate the "Q" family in the Korean market. The LG Q70 presents itself as a very solid smartphone that could be a real success if not for its inexplicably high price.
For now, it is only confirmed in Korea, where it will hit stores from September 6 with a price of around € 410. Although it is an interesting smartphone, its price will certainly affect its popularity.
A conservative but extremely sturdy design
In terms of its design, the LG Q70 looks extremely robust despite its glass back panel. Thanks to its metal frame, it will surely ensure a greater sense of security while in use. On its rear panel we have a horizontally oriented triple camera, with the fingerprint reader positioned immediately below.
The front of the smartphone brings us a mix of emotions. If, on the one hand, its vertical frames are too wide, the sides are quite slender. Also, this smartphone doesn't come with any notch or popup camera. Instead it has a discrete punch hole in the upper left corner of the screen.
LG Q70 Specs List
- 6.4 "Full HD + Screen
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 Processor
- 4GB RAM
- 64GB internal memory (expandable up to 2TB via microSD card)
- Triple rear camera: 32MP + 13MP (ultra wide angle) + 5MP (depth)
- 16 megapixel front camera
- Back panel fingerprint reader
- Google Assistant dedicated button
- 4,000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support
- Android Pie
Although it has very interesting specifications, it seems that the LG Q70 will have great difficulty in becoming a popular mid-range smartphone. Considering the competition of offers from Xiaomi, Realme, Honor and so many others, their conservative design and rather high price tag will be their biggest weaknesses.
