LG has just ‘joined the party’ from makers of wireless headsets. After the popularity of Apple’s AirPods, many brands have been betting heavily on this segment, and LG is the latest to join the group.
The headset you called Tone Free HBS-FL7 would be just another wireless headset that costs $ 199, and have some aesthetic similarities to the Sony WF-1000XM3. However, they stand out for coming with a box that eliminates the bacteria from the headset.
According to what is announced on the LG website, these earbuds have UVnano technology in their box. This means that while the headset is charging, the box emits ultraviolet rays to reduce bacteria that usually lodge in the rubbers in your ear canal.
According to LG, bacteria are reduced Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli. The company wants with this strategy to help prevent possible infections. However, only when these headsets are tested can we tell if it is a feature that really makes a difference.
LG’s new headsets are IPX4 certified, meaning you can wear them on a rain walk without worrying. Also, you shouldn’t have problems with sweat either.
Autonomy is one of the strengths of LG’s new headset
The battery seems to be another highlight of the Tone Free HBS-FL7. According to what is announced, they can provide six hours of continuous listening. In total, you’ll get 15 more hours of listening with the speaker battery.
According to LG, with five minutes of charging, you can listen to one hour of music. These headsets were produced in partnership with Meridian Audio, whose reputation makes us believe that sound quality should not be a problem.
No arrival in UK yet
For $ 199, these headsets could be an interesting product depending on their true sound quality. However, this price range already requires features such as noise canceling or wireless charging. It is not yet known if they will officially arrive in UK.
