According to market research firm Counterpoint, the iPhone XR was the best selling mobile phone worldwide during Q3 2019 with 3% market share. This is certainly a great merit for Apple considering all the Android brands that compete directly.
Apple’s plan for cheaper “iPhones” worked out beautifully. The company made some price adjustments to its equipment in the Asian market, leading to an exponential increase in sales, recovering a market where the apple company was already losing market share.
Compared to the iPhone 11, it also ranked 5th on the best-selling phones in Q3 of 2019. The sequel to the iPhone XR gained 1.6% market share, due to its even lower base price than the XR and a palette of Attractive colors.

These numbers provide a very interesting overview of the worldwide mobile phone market. We can see Apple and Samsung dominate the top 5 positions with the Galaxy A10 and Galaxy A50 models representing the Korean company.
We also have Oppo with 3 models in the list. Although Oppo sells mostly in the Asian market, these numbers show the success of the brand, despite not having a large presence in the European market.
At the bottom of the list are Xiaomi and Huawei, where the Redmi 7A was the Chinese manufacturer’s champion. Already Huawei has the most expensive mobile phone in the list, conquering 1.1% with the flagship Huawei P30.
