The iPhone 13 still looks like a mirage, given that many users took their new iPhone 12 out of the box a few days ago. But the first rumors about the future Apple smartphone are already emerging.
iPhone 13 may arrive with Samsung’s periscopic lens
The most recent one comes to us through the DigiTimes website, and realizes that the iPhone 13 will have something that is missing in the current iPhone 12 Pro. A periscopic lens that will take your optical zoom to other levels.
The partnership is not yet closed, but DigiTimes says that Apple should collaborate with Samsung on this lens. And this means that iPhone 13 (Pro) can arrive with what I consider to be one of the best features of the Note 20 Ultra or S20 Ultra.
I had the opportunity to test the Note 20 Ultra, and as you can see in my review, the photos with 5x optical zoom are of great quality. It should be noted that the iPhone 12 Pro Max achieves a total optical zoom of 5 times, or 12 times digital. Which ends up falling short of the Samsung that reaches 50 times (hybrid zoom).
Aware of Samsung’s quality in this regard, that is why Apple wants to negotiate this lens. Obviously, the conclusion of the partnership does not guarantee that Apple will launch it on the iPhone 13. But it is still a strong possibility.
Remember that the periscopic lens is already found in the main Android devices on the market. In addition to the Samsung range tops, the Huawei P40 Pro or Mate 40 Pro also use this type of lens with great mastery.
