The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra is the most outstanding Android smartphone today, especially when it comes to the version with the Snapdragon 865 Plus, which is not sold in Europe. But that does not mean that it is the most powerful on the market when it comes to processing.
The YouTube channel “SpeedTest G” shared a speed test between the most powerful model from Samsung and the iPhone 12, the base model from Apple in 2020. And the second one rocked without contemplation.
As you can see in the video below, which is reported as a beautiful football game, the iPhone 12 was consistently faster in both CPU (processor) and GPU (graphics) testing.
In the case of the CPU test, the iPhone 12 completed the task in 32.5 seconds, with the Note 20 Ultra taking 38 seconds. When the GPU was put to ‘noise’, the iPhone 12 took 13.5 seconds and the Note 20 Ultra 16.4 seconds.
At the end of the test, the iPhone 12 achieved tasks in 1 minute and 3 seconds, with the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra taking 1 minute and 16 seconds. It should be noted that this test focuses on the smartphone’s ability to run apps, rather than opening them.
What is done in this video is a true test of processing, rather than a test of memory and RAM. And it’s not exactly surprising, since the A14 Bionic is the first processor in the mobile segment with 5 nanometers, and the Snapdragon 865 Plus still has 7 nm.
It will be interesting to see how the Snapdragon 875 to be launched soon will be able to compete with Apple’s A14 Bionic. At the end of the day, the performance of the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra will not leave anyone unsatisfied. But the two devices have very different prices.
