The official design of Huawei’s future smartphone – the Mate X2 – is still unknown. But a patent now released realizes that the future equipment may ultimately bring inspiration from Samsung.
The patent schemes were put into practice by the LetsGoDigital website and the similarities are undeniable. The design of this “Mate X2” immediately resembles the new Galaxy Z Fold 2 that is already on sale in UK.
Like Samsung, we see a device with a generous screen when unfolded. As soon as it is folded, it has a main screen similar to an ordinary smartphone.
A detail that makes the similarities visible is the camera module. As with Samsung, it is rectangular and quite pronounced. The construction appears to be made of metal and plastic.
You should keep in mind that, for now, this is only a registered patent. And as for the launch of a future foldable smartphone from Huawei, it should only happen next year.
In addition, it is not certain that this patent will materialize in the future foldable smartphone from the manufacturer. But it would be interesting to see if the brand will bet on a very different design than it did before in the segment, and so inspired by Samsung.
