Following the launch of Huawei Mate X earlier this year, the technology is poised to be at the forefront of mobile technology again. The technology will present next week, a smartphone with a front camera built into the screen.
It will be on October 17 in Paris that the announcement will take place. In the French capital, Huawei will unveil a piece of equipment that the company advertises as "all-screen".
In addition to an in-screen camera, a fingerprint sensor will also be present under the panel. All so there are no distractions when you are looking at your screen.
This could be the first smartphone to hit the market with this technology.
A smartphone with a built-in camera is long expected to arrive. This would be the perfect solution to notch's imperfection, but the technology is not yet mature enough.
Oppo has already presented a prototype with a camera built into the screen. However, the company stressed that the technology is not yet ready to reach consumers.
These cameras are not yet at the level of conventional cameras with regard to the quality of the pictures taken. This is one of the obstacles to the widespread availability of these cameras.
This is the main challenge that Huawei faces before launching its new equipment to the market. Given the company's status, it cannot afford to offer us a product that seems unfinished.
Arrival in the smartphone market is the big question
After the constant postponements of Huawei Mate X, it is impossible not to think about the possibility that this new product is still far from launch. As with its folding smartphone, this model will bring innovative technology.
This is where Huawei's ability to solve the major obstacles inherent in an in-screen camera will come into the equation. It will be interesting to know if this is a consumer-ready product or a prototype.
