Huawei today presented its new high-end smartphones through an online event that brought us a “surprise”. In addition to the already expected Huawei P40 and P40 Pro, the manufacturer also brought its answer to the powerful Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra, the Huawei P40 Pro +.
Even though Huawei is banned from making Google services available on its new smartphones, it is expected that they will continue to be in high demand in Europe. Considering their impressive photographic capabilities, they may forget this “heavy” absence.
As far as their prices are concerned, they end up meeting expectations, adapting to the standards implemented by Samsung in 2020. Especially the Huawei P40 Pro +, it will certainly not be available to all users.
Prices of the new Huawei P40 in UK
- 8GB RAM + 128GB internal memory – € 830
Huawei P40 Pro
- 8GB RAM + 256GB internal memory – € 1049
Huawei P40 Pro +
- 12GB RAM + 512GB internal memory – € 1399
While the Huawei P40 and P40 Pro are already available for pre-order with delivery scheduled for April 7, the impressive Huawei P40 Pro + will only be available during the month of June.
As you would expect, these are by far the best smartphones ever made by Huawei. However, they continue to present the impossible to ignore “Achilles’ heel” which is the absence of Google services. It is true that the brand is giving everything to create alternatives for its users, but in Europe it will be very difficult to make Google forget.
Although its great success is guaranteed in China and other Asian markets, only time will show whether in Europe Huawei will be able to regain its popularity for some time, or if it will continue to see its numbers drop.
