There are two days until the presentation of the new tops of Huawei range. The new Huawei P40 and P40 Pro will be top-of-the-range flagships, but will not have an easy life in Europe due to the absence of Google services.

Now, the publication Winfuture advances with all specifications and prices of the Huawei P40 and P40 Pro. A few days ago another source had advanced with the specifications of this pair, but this time nothing is left to the imagination.

Huawei P40 Pro

The main point that deserves to be examined is the camera of the Huawei P40 Pro. Its main lens of 50MP will have optical image stabilization, Octa Phase Detection Autofocus and still a chip XD Fusion Engine which will enhance image processing.

Accompanying it will be a 40MP secondary lens designed just for video recording, something that has been one of the less good points of Huawei cameras. The third 12MP lens will be a telephoto lens. We cannot help but wonder the absence of a ToF lens, since all the top ranges of the current range include this type of sensor.

The Huawei P40 will be entitled to a more conservative camera, with the presence of a 50MP main lens. Keeping you company will be a 16MP wide-angle lens and an 8MP telephoto lens.

Huawei wants to revolutionize wireless charging

The presence of fast wireless charging up to 40W will undoubtedly be a milestone in the market. This speed will match that offered by wire charging, something that no competitor has done to date.

Another curious point is the fact that the Huawei P40 has no mention of wireless charging. Thus, the question remains whether this model will have this technology.

Other features that are still not certain in the base model are the biometric sensor on the screen and the IP68 certification. Although the source does not mention them on the P40, it would be very strange if Huawei did not include such features in this model.

The refresh rate of the screen on the P40 may also be lower than that of the Pro model. The lack of data on the subject suggests that refresh rate can stay at 60Hz.

Huawei P40 and P40 Pro prices

  • Huawei P40 – € 799
  • Huawei P40 Pro – € 999

For some time, it was thought that the P40s would be launched with prices below direct competition. Well, that will not happen and this raises even more questions regarding the success of this pair in Europe.

Not because they are smartphones of lesser quality, but because of the absence of Google services. The Huawei P40 and P40 Pro are expected to reach the market a few days after their presentation.
