A very funny video was published on YouTube because it is a clip from TikTok in its Chinese version. The video shows someone unboxing the upcoming Huawei Mate 30 Pro in all its glory. See the video.
The video does not show us the rest of the box contents but displays the most important, the mobile phone itself. So little doubt remains of the true look of Huawei's next flagship mobile phone.
The video confirms the look of the Mate 30 Pro
In the video we can see the new circular design that makes up the Mate 30 Pro photographic module. There are 3 sensors (plus the flash) that will surely have the main lens, an angular secondary lens and even a macro lens. It is certainly a design choice that's different from the square seen in the Mate 20 Pro last year.
At the front we have a very curved screen that literally extends to the frame of the device. The Mate 30 Pro will keep the notch, possibly with enough sensors for 3D face recognition. You can also distinguish the distinctive orange on and off button, which is typical of Huawei's high-end.
Will we have the Mate 30 Pro in Europe?
Despite the ban on Android already confirmed by Google, nothing prevents Huawei from selling its mobile phone in Europe. The point is to convince consumers to buy equipment without Gmail, Google Maps, YouTube, and other Google apps.
You can get around this with a third party store like Aptoide, for example. However, not all consumers will be willing to invest in equipment that requires doing this kind of 'gymnastics' just to have essential everyday apps. The Mate 30 Pro should be presented as early as the 19th, during a Huawei event.
