After being banned from placing Google services / apps on its smartphones, Huawei appeared to be destined for failure in Europe, focusing mainly on China. However, new information revealed by the company Canalys reveals impressive numbers.
According to one brand executive, the Huawei Mate 30 family managed to sell over 7 million units during the first 2 months. This represents a 75% growth when compared to the same period last year.
Huawei Mate 30 was the first to be unveiled without the presence of Google services, it seems obvious that its success in Europe would be doomed at the outset. That's why the brand took a long time to launch the smartphone in Europe, limiting it to a few countries.
Huawei continues to amaze everyone and everything
After several attacks by the United States government, it seemed that Huawei would go through a very dark period in its history, seeing sales plummeting in European markets. However, the brand is continuing its activities as if nothing had happened.
True, its big goal for 2019, overtaking Samsung, will be impossible to achieve. However, they are managing to keep their sales figures stable, without suffering the major breakdowns they would expect.
While not equipped with Google services, it seems that Huawei fans are loyal than you might think. In addition, strong growth in China this year has balanced the "balance".
2020 could be a very positive year for the brand
Even before the end of the year, the US government is expected to start issuing the much-talked about special licenses. These licenses will allow certain companies to be authorized to do business with the Chinese manufacturer.
There is no information yet on which companies may receive these licenses, but Google is expected to be at the forefront. If so, the brand may be able to integrate Google services and Apps back into their smartphones over the next year.
Certainly, the return of Google Apps would make the brand again stand out in a wide range of market segments.
