Although the images seem to prove otherwise, Huawei works on the Huawei Mate 10 Pro under the motto this is not a smartphone. Believing that this is just pure marketing from the Chinese construction company, let's believe it's really a smartphone and not a four-wheeled vehicle. We move forward with a round up than we already know about the terminal.
The buzz around the Huawei Mate 10 Pro is big. This is because Huawei does not do the least thing and has in this line its moment of show off – for the positive. In other words, it is in this line that the Chinese construction company shows all its best.

Take the example of the Mate 9, which was 6 inches in size, had powerful hardware, had a Leica dual camera, a 4000 mAh battery and a mighty metal construction. This Mate 10 Pro is expected nothing more than to be the new crown jewel of Huawei's mobile world.
In a developer that launches so many smartphones is expected to be some confusion. But to clarify, this line has so far four known models: the Mate 10 Lite (which seems to have a different name in each country), the Mate 10, the Mate 10 Porsche Design and the one we will focus on in this summary, the Mate 10 Pro.
Design that follows the tide
The Huawei Mate 10 Pro will have an end-to-end screen.
Initially confirmed by brand CEO Richard Yu, the Mate 10 Pro will have a full-screen display.
This is the arrival of this “port” by the Chinese brand, which follows in the footsteps of Mi Mix 2 or Galaxy S8. The name that builder can give to your screen is “EntireView”, so it has been predicted.
We have seen a lot of images, one of them shared by Evan Blass, who showed almost no bezels on the front panel of the equipment. And the fact that the front colors of the bezels match the rear is most significant. Not only does the button disappear home, as the only physical buttons will be on the right side (power and volume buttons).
On the back will feature the Leica's dual camera, with a kind of “ribbon” surrounding it, which somewhat fades the rest of the rear color tone. The fingerprint sensor also passes behind and will be just below the cameras.
In another image it was possible to see a glass rear. It's something that changes compared to Mate 9 and that predicts a bet on wireless charging that the competition already offers.
Rumors point to 5.99 ″ inches on a screen built by JDI. Quad HD (1440×2880) with an 18: 9 frame is expected, thus following the “standard” of competition.
Kirin 970 is Huawei's first step in Artificial Intelligence
The Mate 10 will be the first Huawei smartphone to come with the homemade Kirin 970. It promises a power equal to that of the Snapdragon 835 as it will be built in the same mold.
While no prediction can be made about whether it will perform better or not, it will surely be superior to anything we've seen to date on a Huawei device.
Here's what you expect:
- 8-color (4x Cortex A73 and 4x Cortex A53)
- Clock speed up to 2.8 GHz
- 12-color GPU
- LPDDR4 RAM at 1866mHz
- Dual SIM LTE
The big point of interest in this Kirin 970 will be its dedicated Artificial Intelligence unit. This is where the developer announces it as the ultimate technology and not just another smartphone. This AI integration is taken seriously by Huawei and goes far beyond software.
The terminal must be launched in four configurations. To know:
- 6GB RAM / 64GB Storage
- 6GB RAM / 128GB Storage
- 6GB RAM / 256GB Storage
- 8GB RAM / 256GB Storage
Android Oreo from factory
Given its release dates (which we'll see later), it is more than expected that the device will be factory-fitted with Android Oreo, as will the new version of EMUI.
Chamber to compete with the best
From a smartphone coming out at this time of year nothing else is expected. If the Mate 9 camera was unimpressive, the P10 camera was idolized on the date of its departure. However, since then (it seems like a long time ago), there are already much more interesting things on the market.
A 12 megapixel camera is expected on the color sensor and 20 megapixels on the monochrome sensor, just like last year's model. However, the aperture will now be f / 1.8 for better low light performance.
As for the front camera, judging by the images will be only one and with 8MP, as in P10.
Battery that lasts
Well, it depends. If the Mate 9 battery was praised, it is predicted that this year's capacity will be the same: 4000 mAh. At first glance there seems to be no improvement, but the Kirin 970 processor is expected to boost this performance.
Huawei Mate 10 Pro Prices and Release Dates
It's just over a week from its launch, which takes place on October 16 in Munich, which makes it, in theory, available for Christmas presents.
The price at which the Huawei Mate 10 Pro was allegedly placed in European stores is € 930, which we suppose should be the base version price.
Do you think this Huawei Mate 10 Pro, if these features are confirmed, is a good solution compared to what is on the market? What's the feature what excites you the most? Tell us in the comments.
