Honor 9X is Huawei's latest addition to its 'budget' smartphone family. Its official (global) presentation was made today in Russia and will reach other European markets even before the end of the month.
So far, only its launch in the Netherlands has been confirmed, where it will hit the market with a base price of € 299. It will be available from October 31st, the day they will launch a promotion that puts its price at € 199. This is a very interesting opportunity, especially as it comes with all Google Apps and services.
Huawei Honor 9X surprises with Google services but just hangs out
This is undoubtedly an interesting smartphone, which offers a very attractive price / quality ratio. However, despite coming with full Google certification, it will have difficulty competing with offers from other manufacturers, such as Xiaomi.
As the Android Authority site points out, the hardware improvements compared to its predecessor are not many. Quite possibly the manufacturer was forced to do so to get Google certification. Still, its design is flashy and the screen Full view will surely win many users.
Huawei Honor 9X Specifications
- 6.59 "inch LCD screen with Full HD + resolution
- Kirin 710F Processor
- 4GB / 6GB RAM
- 64GB / 128GB internal memory (expandable via MicroSD)
- Triple rear camera: 48MP (wide angle) + 8MP (ultra wide angle) + 2MP (depth)
- 16 megapixel pop-up front camera
- Back panel fingerprint reader
- 4,000mAh battery with 10W charging support
- Android 9, EMUI 9.1
Although it is an interesting smartphone, it is easy to see why you should have difficulty competing with rivals like the Xiaomi Mi 9T. At a very similar price, you can count on an AMOLED screen, considerably superior photo module and a much nicer interface.
However, with the launch promotion to be held in the Netherlands, the Honor 9X is certainly much more palatable with a price tag of just € 199.
