Hello, TikTok. Netflix has news inspired by the social network (video)

It is often said, perhaps as a joke, that we spend more time researching what to see next on Netflix than watching the content itself. Attentive to the phenomenon of TikTok, Netflix has a novelty called “Fast Laughs” (quick laughs).

This feature, for now only announced for iOS, shows a feed with short portions of films, series or stand-up specials. This novelty will be available through an icon located on the bottom bar.

Fast Laughs, the novelty of Netflix reaches first who has iPhone and iPad

As you can see in the video, the excerpts start to appear immediately after clicking on the “Fast Laughs” button. As soon as you click on the first one, the following ones will appear automatically.

This feature gives users the possibility, if they like the excerpts, to add that content to their list of favorites. And it is also possible to share the short videos on social networks or simply react.

It is important to note that, for now, the functionality is only available to those who use iPhone and iPad in selected countries. At the time of writing this article, it was not yet available on my iOS device.

Functionality will come to Android in the future

If you have Android, don’t worry. Although not yet available, Netflix has already said it will start testing “Fast Laughs” soon on Google’s operating system.

You can check out the movies and series that premiere in March on the streaming platform, or five new series to start this weekend. If you’re looking to explore Apple TV +, you’ll know five series that are worth subscribing to.
