Podcasts have been one of the great 'revolutions' of recent years, gaining incredible popularity in a short time. With its great popularity reaching levels never seen before, many companies have invested in their dedicated applications.
Although Google was late in this race, it still has a very strong focus on the evolution of Google Podcasts. The latest implementation will let you set a timer to end playback of the episode you are listening to. This is a feature that could be very useful for many users.
Especially if you like to listen to your favorite Podcasts (follow EBox here) in bed before you fall asleep, this feature is perfect for you. You can set the timer in 5 minute increments or also when the episode ends.
Google Podcasts doesn't innovate, but it's more complete!
As I mentioned, the Mountain View company has come to this podcast trend a little late. Although your app – Google Podcasts – still fails to innovate compared to your competition, it is getting more and more complete.
Even though I don't have any big arguments for getting users to abandon their current apps to follow Podcasts. It is a great choice for any user who prefers the Google ecosystem. With a more advanced search system, followers and basic desktop support, you're guaranteed to be on track.
It is still very obvious that Google Podcasts has a long way to go. However, the Mountain View company continues to show that it wants to focus more and more on this application. So you won't miss a thing if you give Google Podcasts a try.
