The Google Play Store for Android TV is finally getting a design change that adds usability and makes it easier to find what you want.
This new "face" of the Google store in the ceiling for TVs and boxes is reaching some users with version 16.9.42 of the application. As you can see in the image below, the new design meets what we already had on Android TV as a whole.

You'll find videos that play automatically to promote a particular app, and a much simpler to navigate design. The images were obtained through the user u / battierpeeler on Reddit.
New design not yet available for everyone
This seems to be an incremental change. I have an Android TV device with Play Store version 16.9.42, and the new design is not yet available. This means that this change is server-side, and will only require Google to enable it for everyone.

For those who use this store and its potential, this is a very welcome change. Navigating the current Android TV Play Store is anything but intuitive, and finding what you want is hard enough.
Increasing Android TV compatible apps is a must
Google could also take advantage of the "train" to increase the number of applications compatible with the platform. It's good to see that companies like Vodafone or RTP have already bothered to have a well-designed app for the platform, but many more could follow suit.
