As the launch date for the new Google Pixel 4 XL and Pixel 4 is approaching, more and more information is emerging on the internet, revealing various details about the new high end.
Now a new leak has confirmed which processor is responsible for its performance, leaving many users disappointed. Contrary to what was desired, the Google Pixel 4 XL will arrive equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 instead of the latest Snapdragon 855+.
Pixel 4 XL's success could be affected by controversial processor choice
Although the Snapdragon 855 is a very powerful processor and used in several tops in 2019, the superiority of the new SD855 + has already been proven. Given that it has been available for some time, Google's choice will prove to be quite controversial.
By equipping its new tops with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor, Google will be left behind in performance results. Considering that Google Pixels will surely come in at a price close to € 1000, the performance disadvantage could be crucial.
RAM may help, but it won't do miracles in performance
While the choice of processor is guaranteed to be controversial, the Google Pixel 4 XL will finally present itself with a variant equipped with 8GB of RAM. This information was confirmed by its presence on the Geekbench benchmark platform.
However, as you can see from its performance score – 9,045 points – it won't do miracles. The amount of RAM turns out to be crucial in the multitasking capabilities of smartphones, but has no major influence on the level of its performance.
