There have been many new features brought to Google Maps over the last few months. But during the last few weeks the news keeps coming! The Mountain View company's navigation application is becoming more complete and useful.
To the fans' delight, the latest news was all related to the popular Waze app. That is, we have seen countless of the most popular features being 'uploaded' to Google Maps.
This was expected to happen, after all, both apps belong to Google. With all these implementations, it is becoming increasingly difficult to 'distinguish' between the two. Of course, their design is not at all similar, but in terms of functionality, they are increasingly similar.
This is Waze's 3 feature that finds its way to Google Maps.
Once we see warnings about speed cameras and top speed cameras on the road, Google Maps is receiving yet another of Waze's most popular features.
As reported by BGR, it will soon be possible to report incidents or the presence of speed cameras. I remember that this 'social' aspect was what made Waze so popular with millions of users.
From what we can see in the image, a "+" button will be added where you can report incidents, but it seems that you will only have the option to report accidents or speed cameras.
In the case of Waze, the options available are many (even in my opinion), so it might even be a plus if Google Maps decides to keep the options as simple as possible.
Finally, there is no information about a possible arrival date of this feature for all users. Incidentally, there are no guarantees that will actually come to the stable version of the application. We are just sure that Google is testing this new implementation, which is a good sign!
