Lately, Google has been focusing a little more on the children who use its services. An example of this was the launch of Youtube Kids or the Kids tab on the Play Store with content dedicated to the little ones.
Today the American company launches Kids Space, a new area available for compatible Android tablets. As the name implies, this will be a space with personalized content for children.
What Kids Space brings
Tablets can have questionable utility for some more demanding users, but it is a tool increasingly used by children. They use it mostly for videos and some games.
With the launch of Kids Space, parents will be able to create a Google account for their children in the initial configuration of the tablet. That said, the child will be able to choose three of his main thematic interests, which will be fundamental for the proper functioning of his suggestions system.
These suggestions will appear right on the Kids Space main screen, being modified daily. There will be four more categories that will offer different types of content.
In the Play category, several dedicated games for children will be available, taken from the Kids tab of the Play Store. It will be in the Read category that the little ones will be able to find books aimed at their age among a wide range of options.
The See and Make categories will include several videos taken from Youtube Kids, therefore, specially designed with children in mind. These categories, according to Google, were created with the aim of encouraging children to do more activities off-screen.
Kids Space will be made available to everyone gradually
The first Android tablet to be able to take advantage of Kids Space is the brand new Lenovo Tab M10 HD Gen 2. Still, Google promises to launch this mode for more Android tablets soon.
