The Google Duo remains one of the most popular applications for making video calls with friends and family, especially since the Covid-19 pandemic “broke out”. However, with increasingly fierce competition, Google is constantly working on implementing new features.
The latest feature was discovered by the Android Police team in the latest Google Duo APK. From version 105 of Google Duo you will be able to add new people to group calls that are already active. So far, to add new people to a call it was necessary to end the call, and start a new one.
New functionality could be much more useful than it really is
While it is guaranteed to help many users, it is difficult to explain one of the most obvious “cons” in the new Google Duo feature. For now, this tool will only be available for group calls, not being possible for individual calls.
That is, if you are making a video call with a single person, to add a second user you will need to end the call and start a group call. It does not seem that this addition was too complex, so it is not clear why Google decided to limit its functionality.
Many users are expected to make themselves heard about this Achilles’ heel, and it is possible that Google will eventually expand its functionality in the near future.
